American History
History You Can Explore, Wear, and Share
American history is more than a collection of dates.
It is a story made from millions of individual lives, decisions, sacrifices, discoveries, conflicts, communities, and ideas.
Cinnamon Operations creates historical designs and educational content inspired by those stories.
Our goal is simple:
Make history interesting enough that people want to keep learning.
American History Apparel
Clothing has always communicated identity, beliefs, interests, and culture.
Cinnamon Operations uses apparel as another way to encourage conversations about American history.
Our history-inspired collections may explore topics such as:
- The American Revolution
- American independence
- Tennessee history
- Military history
- Historic documents
- American symbols
- Forgotten historical stories
- Important people and places
- American cultural history
- Generational traditions
Each design is intended to do more than decorate a shirt.
It should make someone curious.
History Starts With Questions
Who lived here before us?
What happened in this town?
What did previous generations experience?
Why was this event important?
What stories were never taught?
Those questions are often the beginning of historical discovery.
Cinnamon Operations encourages people to keep asking them.
East Tennessee History
Some of the stories we explore are especially connected to East Tennessee.
The region contains Revolutionary War history, Civil War history, Appalachian culture, historic communities, family migrations, military stories, forgotten landmarks, and generations of local traditions.
Our growing East Tennessee projects are designed to help bring some of those stories back into view.
Family History Is American History
National history and family history are often connected.
Military records, immigration records, land ownership, occupations, handwritten documents, photographs, family Bibles, cemeteries, newspapers, and local archives can reveal how ordinary families experienced major historical events.
That connection is also part of our Generational Communication mission.
When families preserve their own stories, they preserve another piece of American history.
Learn the Story Behind the Design
Whenever possible, Cinnamon Operations wants historical products to encourage further learning.
A design can be the beginning of a story.
A shirt can lead someone to research a battle.
A photograph can lead someone to investigate a town.
A family name can lead someone into genealogy.
A handwritten document can connect someone with an ancestor.
History becomes much more meaningful when it becomes personal.
